Telegram offers a variety of opportunities and alternatives for teachers and students mainly because of the portability of the service. Learners and instructors can use the service on any device to share assignment details, course outlines, announcements, discussions, quizzes, queries, and discussion forums. The capability of sharing large sizes in different formats significantly increases the efficiency of telegram as compared to other communication services in the context of education (Iksan & Saufian, 2017). Teachers can share instructions of tests or assignments with multiple students along with the results or other essential announcements through Telegram. Conversely, students can interact with teachers or mentors efficiently along with their peers for resolving any issues or problems related to their studies.

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES

Telegram comprises a broad range of advantages, including

-       Portability, support for large file sizes,

-       Ability to send multiple file formats,

-       Reliability, and lack of advertisements or service charges.

-       The portability and opportunity to use Telegram on numerous devices, including computers, laptops, smartphones, and tablets is one of the most prominent benefits of telegram as compared to other applications.

-       Telegram is also advantageous because it allows sharing multiple formats and large files without placing restrictions on users (Ismail, 2015).

 

Telegram also involves some limitations, including :

-       The absence of video or voice calling,

-       Inability to send multiple files,

-       Issues in receiving notifications of new messages.

-       The lack of voice calling along with challenges in transmitting data to users affects the efficiency of Telegram in the academic context.Using
